1. Overview and single purpose

LMS Lecture Video Controller is a browser extension whose single purpose is to add playback-speed and video-height controls to embedded YouTube lecture videos on the DigiSkills LMS. It also remembers the playback speed and video height selected by the user.

2. Information collection

The extension does not collect personally identifiable information, authentication information, financial information, location data, browsing history, communications, or website content. It does not create user accounts and does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising services, or cookies.

3. Local preference storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local only to save two settings: the selected playback speed and the selected video height. These settings remain on the user's device. They are not transmitted to the developer or any third party.

The stored settings can be removed by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling the extension.

4. Website access

The extension requests narrowly scoped access for its core function:

• lms.digiskills.pk — to detect supported embedded lecture players, display the control toolbar, and adjust the visible video-frame height.
• youtube.com and youtube-nocookie.com — to apply the playback speed chosen by the user within embedded YouTube players.

This access is used only to provide the extension's visible controls. The extension does not record or transmit visited URLs, page content, viewing history, or video activity.

5. Remote code and external services

The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code. All extension logic and styles are included in the published extension package. The extension does not send information to developer-operated servers or external analytics services.

6. Data sharing and sale

The extension does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user information to third parties. It does not use information for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to its stated video-control functionality.

7. Security

The extension minimizes its permissions and stores only the settings needed for its user-facing features. Because it does not operate an external server or transmit these preferences, the settings remain within the browser's local extension storage.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or privacy practices change. Any revision will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
